After months of evaluating the latest in today’s Open Protocol control systems, Rex Hospital has awarded Commercial Mechanical Systems a contract to install new controls on 7-air handlers at the main location on Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh. The new LonWorks control system will consist of Distech controllers and Ebtron air monitors for the air handlers. Plexus Technology’s Altitude Web based software will be installed on a new central server and will act as an operator interface with dynamic graphics and system alarms. The systems will replace the original Honeywell controls that were installed with the equipment.

CMS will be starting the project at the end of April 2010 and will be continuing until completion. Rex Hospital is part of the UNC Health Care System and well respected in the medical community.
