Wake Medical Center Raleigh Adding Three (3) - 1000 Ton Chillers To The Recently Built Central Energy Plant
Wake Medical Center Raleigh, NC is adding Three (3) - 1000 ton chillers to the recently built central energy plant. Commercial Mechanical Systems Inc. will be providing controls for the new chillers, cooling towers as well as the associated pumps rounding out the majority of the chilled water needs for the Raleigh facility.
Wake Medical Center Raleigh Awards CMS New Patient Tower and Central Energy Plant
The newest addition at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina is well under construction and Commercial Mechanical Systems was awarded a contract for the HVAC controls.
The new Patient Tower will consist of three patient floors and a Pediatrics Wing on the fourth floor, all of which will be controlled by Distech LonWorks Controls and integrating into the existing Plexus Web server. The main mechanical systems consist of three large air handlers located in the fifth floor penthouse.
A new Central Energy Plant is also being constructed to support the new Patient Tower as well as the existing hospital. Cooling will be supplied by 2-one thousand ton Trane chillers.
CMS engineers are designing the new LonWorks control addition as an extension to the existing system already in place in the main hospital. Completion is scheduled for spring 2010.
